Some tech friendly people have compared it to Web 2.0, in which they say data and content are centralised in a small cluster. The term “WEB 3” was first used in 2014 by Gavin Wood, the co-founder of Ethereum, and in 2021 the word has been used very eagerly by everyone and has been the centre point of everyone’s talk. nowadays  we are using centralise system of world wide web also known as WEB-2.

Everyone wants a change in the current scenario of internet due to centralised system. Now no one has the freedom to speak anything because the owner of the company, the government and other behave like censor board. i.e. company are deciding our access to any site, app. example If you post on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, then the company has the right to remove your post, that means these companies and the government have the right to censor and because these companies are the owners of these social apps,  content is shown to the public in which they have benefits. but in Web3 form of internet their are decentralise system i.e. no one have right to censor you. you have your own data, own rights. you are not dependent to anyone. your feels openness.

In web-2 internet companies monetise your data i.e they use your searches, your choices, your location for targeted advertisement. but In web3, no one can monetise your data, post, innovative ideas because you are the only one which have rights to monetise them.

In web-2, social media platform are the only place where we share our view, our content, data. but we have not owns any of our post and these platform not only owns but also monetise them. but In web-3 we owns our data. no one have any right on it. we can monetise it whenever want. Best example of it is NFT.
